I have owned several electric shavers over my lifetime(63 yrs). I find this shaver one of the best. Change the blades and foil once every six months and you will enjoy a shave as close to a blade as possible.

I love the self cleaner, it works flawlessly. You DO NOT NEED to clean the shaver daily, twice a week is just fine and it saves money on the cleaning solution which costs about a bottle depending on where you buy it. My solution lasts me approximately 8-10 cleanings, it will tend to evaporate over time.

I have never had any problems with shavings being spilled over or any mess from using this cleaning system except once when my wife knocked it over and the solution spilled out. I now put it on a nice flat serface away from the sink or where it would be in anyones way.

I highly recommend this shaver to anyone who likes electrics and especially people who take medications that cause excessive bleeding as this shaver is smooth and does not cause facial nicks such as flat head shavers do.

Very disappointed…
I have been using the Titanium Remington MS 280 for several years. After an internet search for a quality Men’s Electric shaver it appeared that the Titanium Remington MS 5500 would be a great working Men’s Shaver.

Following the instructions - recommendation was to charge the Remington MS 5500 for 24 hors. This is exactly what I did.

The next day looking forward to using a new Remington MS 5500 - The shave was not as smooth as I as expected. Shortly into the first shave the shaver stopped during the shave. - “Ouch” There is a reserve button to push and I used that to finish the shave.

The shaver had to be recharged again and I tried the recommended 1 hour charge. The shaver stopped in the next shave.

Then I learned that no matter how often or how long the saver was charged - and the booklet says it can not be overcharged - the shaver would not work at all if set overnight.

I was back to using my older shaver that is charged maybe every 2 or three weeks.

The good news is that the seller did refund the cost of the shaver but not the cost of the shipping or the shipping back to the seller.

I would have saved .00 or more dollars if I had gone to a local store and not shopped online.

I have tried several electric shavers and always went back to blades because I was not satisfied with the results. However this shaver is different. It does shave as close as a blade.
I am very happy with it and highly recommend.
