Was Ok, but Broke Twice in 2 1/2 Years
I have had a couple of Braun razors before this and they have lasted at least 5 year without fault. The rechargeable battery in both just stopped holding a charge. I like the cordless feature, so I upgraded after battery failure.

Because of the quality of my other Braun razors and also the design, I chose another Braun to upgrade to. I have tried some other brands, with different cutting styles, in the past, and they just didn't cut as well as Braun razors.

This razor is very similar to my older Braun 7526 razor(lasted about 7 years, before the battery died). There are four main differences though. First, this razor has a fancier and more elegant look to it. It has a nice silver exterior and a fancy LCD screen(I barely looked at it). Secondly, I noticed there are different shaped holes on the foil. Next, I didn't notice any difference in the speed or quality of cutting my beard, despite the supposed more advanced technology. Finally, this razor was about twice as much as what I paid for the Braun 7526, about 9 1/2 years ago.

This razor broke twice in 2 1/2 years. The first time it broke, I couldn't get the foil, or any other foil, to clip into place. I sent it in to be fixed under warranty. They replaced the whole head. Yesterday, I was shaving and when I tried to turn the razor off, I was surprised to find the switch wouldn't turn off! It's out of warranty and I figured that it would probably cost me almost as much as a new razor to have it fixed. Therefore, I attempted to try and fix it myself. I took it apart to try to fix it, to no avail. It's too complex and has a lot of small parts. I don't think it is possible to fix, without replacing the switch or something.

Save yourself some money and buy this. It almost identical to the 7526. Braun 7680 Syncro Pro Solo Shaver Refurbished There is no difference in the cutting quality, in my opinion, between the two. The cutter block is exactly the same. Maybe the newer tech Braun razors cut better, but I doubt it. I think I'll just get the refurbished 7680 that I linked to above. Maybe I'll think about buying another model Braun in the future, but my experience with this model has ruined my trust in Braun quality.

I'm always looking for a better and faster electric razor and willing to pay for it. I once spent over 0 for a Grundig razor out of the Sharper Image catalog, back around 1996. It broke soon after I got it. I don't think there has been significant improvement in cutting quality of electric razors in the past decade or more. There's a lot of hype and marketing for the newer razors, but it seems that they aren't any better.

Very satisfactory
Item arrived on time and exactly as described. It is a replacement for my old Braun razor of 15 years. It works very well, very close and smooth shave, no irritation, does the job right and has nice features. I clean it manually every day and it works fine like that. Ah, and the price from this retailer is very nice too!

Great Shaver for sensitive skin
I bought this shaver for my spouse for a "just because" gift. He has really sensitive skin and shaving with a blade oft-times caused him major problems with skin eruptions, sore and irritated skin. He's never found an electric razor that met his standards - until I got him this Braun. The first couple of times he used it he said it did an adequate job, the shaver cut the hair to where it looked good but it didn't make him feel clean in that when you rubbed his face and head (he shaves his head) there was that 'beginning of sandpaper feel'. He's had the razor 2 weeks now and loves it. We don't know what he's doing differently than he did the first few times he used it (and maybe his skin has just adjusted to the electric razor) but now there's a totally clean feel to his face and head when he shaves. You would be hard pressed to tell it wasn't a blade shave. He can now shave every day and he has no problems with the problems he had with a blade. (He got a shaving waiver from the military because of the problems he had when shaving with a blade). It's simple to clean. You don't have to use the cleaning solution as often as is recommended and best of all, he's happy with it!! I can't thank you enough for making a product that actually does what it says. And the vendor I bought this product from was the best I've EVER dealt with. I'd give this product and the vendor more than 5 stars but Amazon won't give me that opportunity!

Best electric Shaver I have used
The is the best, closest shaver I have used. I used a Philips Norelco Arcitec 1060 for 10 months before buying the Braun. The Arcitec shaver stopped working after 10 months & I was able to return it to Costco & pick up the Braun.

I have a medium beard growth, so I shave just before going to bed at night. I thought the Philips Norelco was good before getting the Braun. I have used this shaver for 2 months. It is just a great, super close shaver. And fast too.

I was a little worried about the expense of cleaning solution. After doing some research online, I found others who suggested only using the cleaner every 3-4 days. Others have suggested cleaning every 7-10 days. The other days, you clean by following the Braun instructions for cleaning when you don't have the shaver base with you: pop the head off, tap it out & run the shaver for a few seconds with the head off to shake debris off. You can stretch the cleaner to last a couple of months.

Key Hint:
Do not wash or wet your face before shaving. If you do you will not get a close shave.

A fast shave, but still junk
If you're going to buy this, that's good because it does give a quick shave. It shaves very fast, but that's only the good news. The bad news is that it irritates my skin beyond belief, and it gives a poor shave. Not close at all, I give up I'm gonna throw this thing away.
